Living in Key West has provided a wonderful ‘palette’ of a wide variety of activities - Calligraphy for Key West Literary Seminar, singing in the Community Choir, performing with Opera Miniatures at San Carlos Institute, ‘Crew’ aboard the Schooner Wolf, wind-surfing, Piano Tuning and Volunteer at Tropic Cinema.
Piano tuning has been a great vocation that has allowed me the freedom to schedule work around other activities, thus affording a wonderful lifestyle here in Key West, Florida.
My training at the New England Conservatory of Music involved all aspects of maintaining pianos: tuning, re-building, regulating and stringing upright and grand pianos for all manufacturers. In order to graduate from the New England Conservatory of Music, all participants took a two-day examination of the Piano Technician's Guild in Boston, MA. Graduated as top student of the class in 1980.
